Last week i have disabled the soundaktuator via obdeleven and since then i have only heard this buzzing once and it was very mild, nothing compared to before. I have driven only 200 km, so it's not much, but... My question is - is there something mechanically that can screw up with this and even disabled to cause this?
Hello all,
Another update on the issue. I can safely confirm that the issue is with the plastic that is around the air vent. Today my gf drove the car and when the issue appeared I started to push it down and it stops. The question is can I remove any plastic from the dashboard without removing the whole dash? Any idea how to approach this?
Thanks
Georgi

can you put something in between the windscreen dashboard to pad it out? Maybe some anti-rattle tape pushed in with a trim removal tool? You could try first by putting a long piece in that you can pull out (don’t remove the sticky backing tape!) if it doesn’t cure the problem It’ll be fiddly, but that’s got to be worth a try.
I think I can but it would bother me visually I would prefer for a more gentle solution hence the question can this plastic be removed so I can put something below it and not to see it
What would be your suggestion for a proper job? I can't imagine to do anything if I am not able to take this plastic off without removing the whole dashboard / console. Do you have by hand the workshop manual? At least there I can get more info on removing this (hope so)
Thanks
The only thing I can think of is to push some anti-rattle tape in the gap between windscreen and dashboard temporarily- don’t remove the sticky backing and leave a long length showing so it can be pulled out and done tidily somehow if that cures the problem.
If that does work, then you can figure out a way of doing it tidily.
Otherwise, you’ll have to figure out how to remove the air vent. I gave mine a little pull at the corner a few days ago to see it would unclip easily and it didn’t want to unclip, so I didn’t force it. You also don’t want to risk something snapping off and falling down the vent as I doubt you’d ever get it out…
Hopefully somebody else will come along with a better suggestion than mine, and how to remove that air vent.
