firstly good work on the car it looks great.
I wanted to ask about wrapping interior parts did you wrap them whilst they were in the car? If not how do they remove I am paranoid I will break something?
Things I am interested in wrapping are door handles heater vents steering wheels centre and air vent surrounds.
Finally what vinyl did you use and how easy was it to work with?
Cheers
Matt
cheers buddy
most of the bits i did off the car apart from the steering wheel (when it was done)
door handles its worth getting some 'prying tools' off ebay then put one in each side of the join that runs down the centre of the handle until it pops away slightly you have to pull the door handle to get them out fully
I wouldnt bother trying to wrap the vents themselves as that will be a huge amount of work but the surrounds do actually come out though im not sure how.
I did the steering wheel on the car as again its a bit of a fuss to take it off just to wrap it
always try and use air release vinyl like a 3M or Hexsus otherwise you end up with a lot of bubbles. as long as you use the air release stuff its easy to work with, just keep it warm otherwise the vinyl tears. Use a hairdryer to stretch the vinyl but where you can try not to stretch it, make sure you use a sharp blade eg surgical scalpel is what i find the best. Leave enough room around the edge of parts to tuck it onto the back of the part and once you do that go around all the edges of what you tucked with some heat and press them down to make them last longer.
gimme a shout if you need more
