Well Ive found the options from that guide and changed the settings. The bass seems a bit better but Ive got to give it a real try out yet. Ill try fiddling about with it when Ive got time and no one hassling me.
I would have just used my old pioneer DAB set up in the car but it would have looked so out of place and the features on other manufactures seem lacking next to the RCD 510.
After all we are trying to fit a head unit not designed for the Leon so a little fiddling is always going to be needed.
Think the speakers will be the next thing I change though when funds allow. Really looking for speakers that arent so treble heavy and have more mid range.
What mods are you looking to go for next?

So which modules was it under in vcds? I had a look with the indy and we couldn't find it do you have any screen grabs to help? Since I have had my new speakers fitted I still keep the treble high, but the new tweeters cope with it so much better that it sounds great -there is still a slight "shhh" sound when 's' is used in speech. The more i listed to it the more pleased I am with the result. I'm really happy with the Hertz ESK 165L front components.

Next mods will probably be side skirts and a remap.

Ill have a propper look when I get the chance and write it all down. From what i can remember from memory on the mainpage I think it was the box on the bottom left then 56 for radio and it gives you almost the same options as the guide gives you. I only got options for VW and Skoda. I changed the values to the same as the guide and I seem to have a much more cohesive sound. Better bass and treble and not as nasty on the ears.
Sorry about the lack of info but I really had to rush it during my break then accidently put the car into transport mode so I couldnt use the radio or lock the doors! Be careful with vagcom!
Il have a triparound the audio shops and see if they have any of the speakers as a demo. Really poor up hear for audio instalation.

brill thanks. Also do you have a link to the cable you bought? I think I may go down this route as it will be useful - we have 2 leons, my cupra and my wife has a 1.2 tsi emoticion

thanks chap. For the sake of £20 its a no brainer to buy - just ordered one. Indy was going to charge me more for the coding time - lucky they couldnt do it. The Hertz speakers do sound awesome though. I can thoroughly reccommend them.

I asked around on here to find out which one was the best to get without having to buy the full price version which cost hundreds of Pounds. The one I bought from Ebay for my MK4 Golf could only reset the service light!
