re map question

hi all im looking to go to stage 2 just after christmas, i carnt find hardly any places that are close to me (south wales) i e-mailed gotboost about 30miles away and this was the reply,

spec id forge tip, 007 dv, cold side relocation, stainless was decatted now sports cat ko3, frounf mount, mapped stage one at 210bhp

Depending on who carried out the stage 1 remap, there may not be much of a gain by going to stage 2, stage 2 is mainly for lambda defeat. I would suggest you book a dyno session where we can inspect current Ecu file, and if it looks good tweak the current setup for max power. Cost £45+vat

Stage 2 remap will require a 4 bar FPR along with your current setup, remap cost £299+vat

whats you'r thoughts?

You'd probably want a downpipe aswell, to make the most of it. You wont see that much more power from a stage two, (you wont see the same increase from Standard to Stage 1 ) but it should also make the car abit more driveable.
Revo used to be all boost with low down power, where as stage two make the power abit more progressive.

I'm sure a few users have used Gotboost, so may be able to give you more info on Gotboost. I've not been on the forums for a while, so I dont know their rep.

anyone got any info on gotboost, im unsure of what to do now i might just save up get a ko3s and a proper exhaust, whats the actual law on decat's i was under the impression u had to have a cat thats why i got a sports cat put on

thanks NAB

At the moment if the car will pass without a cat ( highly unlikely) its legal. But they're trying to bring in a law that you must have a cat fitted

£50 upgrade is just for the owners that already have a revo map and want to upgrade to a stg 2 revo map

Nowhere in his detailing has he said he currently has Revo, or requested a quote for Revo stage 2

If your car is currently running Revo, then it would be more viable to fit a 4bar FPR and upgrade to stage 2 Revo. If not, personally i dont think it is worthwhile paying £299 for another map ( stage 2 ) which will net a small gain on your current setup.

If your looking for a REAL 220bhp or so, you will need a K03S, 4 bar FPR and a good stage 2 tune.

Awesome cheers both. I wish i knew about you abit earlier as not long ago had the car mapped. Doing it locally would have been good as i'm only in the Vale. I'll drop by some time the,n friendly local advice is always invaluble!

I was just getting a feel as I haven't finished messing yet. Might go hybrid b4 + I've relocated the dv, fitted forge tip, new intercooler n welded piping so on so when I'm happy I will b having it remapped as its not going to b running at it full potential and I want a less aggressive map just spins in 1st 2nd n 3rd when giving it some
