Hi. I'm due to pick up my 290 S/C DSG next week.
I've done a 2 year contract hire as its used for business.
I do roughly 22,000 miles a year. I travel anywhere between Lincoln, to Wales, to south coast, so would say majority of those miles will be mororway and A-roads. I tend to cruise control 65-70mph most the time as always add an hour to my route planned journeys due to potential traffic etc and so don't have to do 90mph to get there.
I also like to have fun, so will occasionally nail it on more fun roads.
When I ordered car I worked out my approx fuel costs based on 32MPG.
Would anyone with same/similar car say this is accurate or lower/higher than what I should expect with the above mileage/roads?
Cheers

I would say 34/35mpg for mostly motorway journeys as long as the traffic isn't too bad. I got 32mpg going from Glasgow to Manchester and back but its a hilly journey on the scottish/cumbrian part.

I get on average 27/28mpg on my daily use which is a mix of urban busy traffic and a bit of motorway.

Thanks for your replies. Seems 30ish a sensible estimate then. Hopefully with all the extra oil soon to flood the market from Iran I won't care about cost and flooring it everywhere !

A bit old topic, but on my 2016 Cupra 290 ST I have average 7.4l/100km (38MPG) since I got the car, its about 4300km. It's fun that my previous 104kW 2014 Civic took 7.2 in average on 18" alloys :D
