Rear brake caliper mounting bracket bolts

Hi All,

What is the tool required for removing the rear brake caliper mounting bracket bolts on a '63 plate Leon FR TDI?

I have been reading loads of different threads regarding this but not come up with a definitive answer, I think it should be a M14 spline socket but please correct me if I am wrong.

On my previous car (MK6 Golf 2009) they were M14 spline bolts, I bought a kit with both long and short sockets in but found I didn't need them as the rear discs just about cleared the brackets when fitting new discs, but probably depends on size of discs.
