Right then!

Got the new lock, installed it and the outside handle worked fine, opened from the inside all working great! So, connected it up to the central locking put it all back together bla bla. It's jammed again, can hear the lock engaging and disengaging but the door won't open...... Frustrated is putting it lightly!

Can anyone shed any light on why this might happen? Nearing the end of my tether with this as I'll need to take apart again and hopefully not have to bash the new lock apart!!!

Yes I had a bit of game figuring out how the window mechanism does back together.

Once the plastic glass holder is removed from the glass, I re-assembled everything on the metal door cover. Re-rivetted the slider and clipped everything back into place.

The hardest part was to figure out how many winds the wire needed to go around the motor pulley, needs a bit of trail and error here. When I got it right it was tight and I need to use a big screw driver to work the wire around and over the top pulley.

Sorry I should have taken a picture once it was done, but once it is right you can manually turn the motor pulley and see stuff working.

Once its all back together you can then just screw the metal door panel back on, lower the glass onto the plastic glass holder, doesn't need to clip it in. Then using the window motor to shut the window it all snaps back together :)

Good luck
