its on the roof of the west Kensington tesco car park near earls court :)

I was close! I know that tescos well :)

On the topic of the car, I am with one of the other guys on here, leave the body standard and just keep going with the mechanical mods.

Slightly off topic, but why have you used illegal spacing on your number plate H8? Are you trying to spell out something as I am struggling to figure out what it might be
initials are WP - H0T WP? or HATE WP whatever.. was a present so not bothered.. would rather still have my 57 plate lol

my office is dead opposite ! if u look at the pic, the window infront of my car is mine lol

im sitting there right now lol

OK, revised list / plan

DE Badge totally (stealth mode) , blacked out reflectors and lights , Move plate up a teeny bit so the light actually shines on it .... leave the 's' badge alone and leave the wiper alone...
Job done? 10X better !!

Leave the plate in the OEM position IMO. Too many barryboys cars have the plate moved/altered/made square and it looks "awkward" in any position other than where it is supposed to be.

Be careful about darkening the lights too unless you are going to be buying proper lights with dark glass as the old tin can of spray adorns a lot of barryboys cars too.

Don't you fancy the Q option and the FR badge? That is defo something I fancy doing it for the benefit of the VXR's ST's, GTi's and FR's out there lol :cartman:

However what stops me is that when I come to sell the car, I would prefer the badge to be on the car in the OEM position and I am not convinced that it will be possible to put the badge back on to the exact position it came off.

come on , stop comparing these Subtle mods to barryboys, its pointless.. moving the place up an inch doesn't automatically make a 20k car **** now does it?

and of course i wont use the **** can spray, they will be baked in an oven and done professionally at a body shop etc etc

as for de bading / re badging etc.. why don't i just stick a big fat 1.0 litre badge on there? that would fool em lol

i am a fan of the smooth, uncluttered look, so i think it will look nice.

I would suggest the plate be kept as std looking as possible, however you will always have issues with a yellow plate and a silver car. Leave it as standard and it will look the better for it. You really do need to place it as centred as possible since you already have a small amount of plate space anyway.

Dark lights would suit it IMO so that all light sources bar the front will then be smoked. I think it makes the light which is output have a better contrast in the dark, esp with a darker colour.

Your car mate, and you do to it what you want :)

I guess I am an OEM+ kinda lad and like my modifications to be under the skin so to speak. I have however been known to add the following badges to my previous cars though lol

1) Astra 2.016v badged as 1.4 16v
2) Civic VTi badged as LSi
3) As above on another Civc VTi i owned
4) Impreza Turbo 2000 badged as a Sport
5) Passat TDI Sport badged as a 90bhp and the silver TDI vs the red lettering which denoted bigger power
6) Toledo 1.8T badged as an S before i removed that altogether

This car I have now is about the first I have not badged it down, but the way I see it is the only model I could get away with adding is the FR and for those not so much in the know about differences between the Cupra and FR, like the VXR/ST lads, it could make for a bit of fun in certain circumstances lol

Moving plates, altering lights removing wipers etc makes no sense to me to be honest. Unless it physically improves the cars power/brakes/handling, which none of these changes do (other than the weight saving from the wiper and motor improving performance), its not worth it IMO. Quite often little changes can transform a car, but some can also make them look **** too. Not saying the modifications you have mentioned above would do that, but I doubt many others on here would copy you :)

god some of you on here are well bitchy!! worse than us girls LOL

whats happening with the project then mate you got the lights done yet?

I've already had mine debadged and went for the hella lights instead of darkening them. Next up is private plates 3/4 on the front and lowered on the back. Im 19 so im allowed to have so called chav mods on my car ha ha who wants to be the same as everyone else!!!

De badging isn't bad, but leave the plate in it's original position. Don't think moving it does the car any justice. Personally I prefer the badges on. Love the lights tho, go for it

Mine debadged and de wipered i thinkj it looks smooth and smart.

Want to paint my S boot badge but keep changing my mind. Thoughts???

m dropping the plate about 3 inches so it lines up with the lin across theback bumper (if you know what i mean) and on the front im going to drop it to the bottom of the mesh and use a 3/4 size plate im going to photoshop it first just to make sure it looks alrite b4 i do it :D

Looks smart that mate! Is it easy to take the wiper off? I was thinking of doing mine but we get 2 much rain! I would leave the badge alone unless you get it completely smoothed over

Its straight forward to do mate. I bought a tinted glass bung from venom motorsport for about 20 quid, comes with a black glue / sealant.

The hardest bit is working / pulling the wiper arm itself off the spindle bit that comes through the window as its quite tight. I was very weary about snapping it or damaging anything. Just needs a bit of paitience and some elbow grease (or wd40 lol)

Im pleased with the look tbh
