Just buy them and stick a note saying you need the stronger resistors, they should know what you mean by now

Slightly off subject. Just bought turtle wax black box wax kit for my car. Thought it was a nice day so did it. Sun shining. Oops! Apparently you don't wax in direct sunlight. I now have a matt black front left wing.. Any recommendations on how to get it back? T cut didn't budge it!

just re wash it using washing up liquid , it sounds crazy i know but it is a degreaser , that should take the wax off then you can re polish and re wax , alternatively you could buy a wax off product to take it off but i would go with the washing up liquid first

Give it a good clean and then polish would be my advice, wouldn't do the washing up liquid route personally (surprised Mr clean suggested it too ;))

A polish should hopefully cut through the dull top layer, then use something to seal the job.

Just don't do it in direct sunlight again you plum ;)

Thanks guys. Torn between which one to try first but as washing up liquid is more accessible for tomorrow morning I might give that a go first. That aside if that doesn't work I was definitely considering sourcing some Polish.

And no. Can't see me waxing it direct sunlight anytime soon! Actually went to work to de-stress for a change! Haha

Definitely please don't do it regularly ,just a one off on a small area to get the wax off then polish and wax the whole car , not in sunlight, lordnath

Right, I gave it a good go with the washing up liquid and polish. Kept at it and it's gradually coming off. Still think it needs some sort of buffer to get it back good. Thanks for your help though guys. I've learnt my lesson the hard way I guess.. Haha

use some polish next that should sort it the polish will be a mild abrasive which will remove the rest of it you can get something like MER or autoglym srp at Halfords

Took it to Seat and they had their bodywork specialist look at it. As soon as he touched it he went "Oo that feels wrong, really soft on the paintwork, have you had it repaired?"
"no, why?"
"it feels like it's had a really bad paint job done on it. Not been done very well"
So maybe that's why it reacted badly? Either way, they power buffed it off and it's good as new.
Free of charge!
Thanks for your help guys, sorry it went off topic!

Has anyone ever been daft enough to drop the lamp into the bumper hole? If so any suggestions on how to get it back especially as I have the BTTC twin exit exhaust :(

Solved the issue on facelift Leon 2010.

I have soldered 1 w5w bulb and holder inline behind one of my number plate lights. That fitted with canbus led bulbs from autobulbs direct works!

No error light anymore! Bonus.

Yeah quite a few people have done this, i didn't want to do it personally but if you're happy then jobs a good un.

I agree, I hate cutting into looms etc and its a bit of a bodge. But it seemed much simpler than other options. I have been careful to make sure I can remove it if I wish and it will almost be put back to original (apart from a little electrical tape!)

I chose not to do it for those exact reasons, that and the fact that if the LED goes you won't know because the bulb will still be reporting to the CANBUS that it's working, or the other way round if the bulb goes.
