rear parking sensors ???

hi. can anyone tell me if rear park sensors were a factory option on the cupra r?

I don't think that they were ever fitted to the Mk1 Leon as a factory option.

Some may have had them fitted by dealers as options though.

As far as I am aware, you can't fit parking sensors to the Cupra R due to the shape of the bumper. You could retrofit some but it will look untidy, hence why I think SEAT avoided the option.

ye it was a stip that sat behind the bumper , rather than drilling it

im toying with it as its just diffuclut to judge sometimes

Andrews right, there's a company in the U.K. that sell metal strips that can be fitted onto the inside of your bumper and are apparently quite good, unforutnately can't remember their name, search through the posts and i'm sure u'll find it.

The parking dynamics is the kit I have been pondering over for my Lcr today strangely enough. I think I am going to try and get pic of the bumper off 1st to see where the crash bar is.

im really bad at judging the back of the leon i end up miles away from stuff. i can park my long wheel base transit works van better

i think is the way the boot screen is sloaped it makes you think your closer to stuff than you actually are

thanks for all the replies guys. i was just wondering as i never seen any for sale with parking sensors. i think i might fit a reverse camera on mine if i could find a nice small camera that wont stick out.

find a way of putting a small on in the spoiler is best bet, if you fiti inside the glass yopu won't see nowt at night even with NV led's

ya i seen some cheap ones on ebay. about 10-15 quid. might get one and see what they are like. only promlem with fitting on the spoiler is running the cable along the window and under the boot lid..

I know mines not a cupra, but I fitted a £25 ebay kit into the black strip on the rear bumper on my S, even though I say it myself, it looks really neat, and works a treat.

your lucky you have black strips the facelifts are all smooth and colour coded so will look cac

did look at the frauds but are a bit chunky

might keep an eye out for reviews on them strips , are cheaper than the numerplate one
