Just had the fun of having to do this on my LC.

Was a success, and all it was was that the pipe had popped off the nozzle, so nice easy fix.

An I managed to get the boot panel off & back on with out breaking any clips, altho one fell off when the panel was going back on, and I couldn't be bothered to take it all off again to re-seat it.

Cheers for the "remove lights" trick, as it really made the job a whole lot easier!!

im going to have another attempt. This time im going to use a trim removal tool i bought from mill autos at £6.99 which helped me remove door cards from my ibiza. Just before i try it again the plastic trim around the window can it be removed?

aye just dont do the pull it like a rowing machince trick as mentioned in another thread. I am one of the ulucky ones who broke the trim. Looks fine just now but seeing as i have ocd with my car will be fixed soon

Excuse my ignorance here but when the water comes from behind the rear wheel arch how do you go about sorting it as mine is doing this now?

Sorry and Cheers :)

That's an easy fix M14KCY, take off the trim panel at that side of the boot, it's about 4 screws and you will see the pipe. If I remember rightly I had to fold that side of the back seat down to access some of the screws.

EDIT: I mean inside the boot, it's nothing to do with the boot lid trim which is a b*****d!

How you doing mate, yeah i fixed this yesterday. both hoses in the panel and the boot lid were gubbed but i managed to sort it out without any burst clips etc. So all good mate cheers

This thread has really helped (and I only joined today!!:)), had my Cupra R only a week and need to fix rear washer leak, was coming out of spare wheel well, traced it to boot lid (took access panel off for o/s rear light and found an 1" of water), tried pulling trim off and I see what you all mean!!!!!
Will try the various tricks mentioned i.e. taking rear lights out. Thanks all:thumbup:

Thanks for this info everyone, had the same things with the pipe popping out in the rear left arch also
Is there any recommends on stopping this popping out, if this is a good thing that is. Was thinking about maybe shrink wrap but wouldn't want to melt the pipe.

Also is keeping this from popping a good idea meaning it might pop somewhere else if it can't pop here. I'm guessing this is something to with the water freezing at the jet and causing pressure to build up here!

thanks Pacey for the link and the photo's , just done mine 15min job and that included two trips back indoor for a rag to soak up all the water and a pin to re adjust the "eye" of the jet. An easy diy job , having read all the threads give this a go first because if a pipe has just popped off an idiot can do it , Ive just proved it !
