Rear wiper removal

I've read all the threads on the fabia wiper, and finally decided to pop down and get the bits.

But....I can't get the bloody old rear wiper off. I've flooded the ******* with WD40 and wiggled and tuggged and screamed. It seems like it's welded on.

Any other tips for getting this sucker off??

Mine was a little like this but I used a piece of cardboard, wood and a small pry bar to lever it off. When you get it off put a smear of grease or copper grease on the shaft for future.

get a flat headed screw driver and just wiggle it (turn the srew driver) into the gap above the rubber part. but don't lever it or you will damage the boot! this is how i got mine off anyway. hope this helps.

I folded the arm out away from the glass and just wiggled it from left to right a few times and it came off in my hand... my Leons only 2 years old though so maybe that has an effect too!?!
