Hello lads

im getting my badger 5 tip installed this week.
i know this has been covered before but i know quite a few of you have had it installed recently - just wanted to get your feedback from it?

do you know what extra g/s your pulling it?
initial comments? any changes in noises etc, extra torques?

nice one

Joe.

Hi joe im getting around 8gs more over my silicone tip. Also getting a max of 20bhp more than i did before but that was with a little tweeking with the fuel. Bill himself set my car up with the tip and my bhp gain was also done oh his rollers.i did however get bad boost spikes with the tip so bill also set my car up with a mbc and capped boost at 1.4 bar. Car is running very good and consistant:)

hi sam, thanks for the reply,

thats really impressive figures! bill has done a good job on the car.

did he explain exactly why you were getting the spikes?

He thinks my n75 could be shot and the combo with the tip didnt help. The mbc soon sorted that out and as i say very consistant. Some people have had spikes with the tip and other have beed fine. At one time my car had the highest bhp figures from a ko4 turbo on bills dyno which for me is a great achivement :) a few months later it was beaten by a s3 with a simular setup but only by 1 bhp  im still running standard down pipe so hopefully when i get a new one i will retain my crown :)

lol, sounds like a devil!!!

hopefully i wont get any spikes.
were you noticing these when on FULL throttle?

It was the break your neck feeling at 3000 rpm that did it lol spikes were hitting 2 bar. You should notice the spikes on your boost gauge if you have any.

for sure, will be checking the liquid gauge at all times.

what psi were you hitting, and whats its been restricted to now? (just so i know whats safe etc)

ahh,
i see. thanks

will have to wait and see if i feel any large surges when giving it the beans.

judge your g/s to see some change.. and the spike, IF you get one, will deffo be felt in th ebutt dyno dept.

most dont do anything other than just flow more... Some, which have issue with N75 control/map can see a spike.. which is easily remedied by mbc to cap the excess.. and often make more power from a more reasonable level of boost but sustained, which does'nt create too much heat too soon. (killing power and brining on EGT fuel dump)

i understand, thanks.

im not sure about prices, but if this does happen, would it be cheaper to replace the n75 first?
