No problem.
Going back to the word REVO...who used this word? you or the middle man? You see revo is copyright protected I believe. Even put into there code as much as they can so cannot be used

sounds like he's selling generic maps and passing them of as REVO. Big question is do you trust him to return it to stock map because I'll bet he's going to want to do that before money changes hands.

Tell him you want you're money back and you will take it to be mapped somewhere else so removing the rubbish that's on there now and him not having to touch the car,
if not tell him trading standards and the tax man will be round soon I'm sure he will change his mind and just refund you.

Be mean, this guy could of broken you're engine, cost you thousands, made you're life a horrible story just like his boss has made many people feel...then you got to explain to the other half!!(wife)

+1

Only use a reputable garage that offers revo maps, or a custom mapper with a good rep.

Anyone 'mobile' is to be avoided like the plauge! They are mobile for a reason...... they don't want you to find them when your motor either goes bang or drives like a pile of ****.

Revo is fine and the probably the most widely used map. Just make sure you are using a proper authorised revo dealer. http://www.revotechnik.com/dealer-locator

If you only have an intake on the car, then you only need stage 1. Stage 2 is for cars with the proper supporting mods, i.e downpipe, front mounted intercooler etc etc

Bit confused. Yes you will need a yellow spring in the Forge 007/008, not the green one, if you've had any remap.

Spring is what it is...first give away of a bad mapper.
Anyone doing this for a living should be able to sort the problem before mapping the car...if he can't due to no part or customer has no cash for the part the mapper should stop until it's sorted whatever the issue maybe.
What I wanted to know is who did it, so following the link will cure you're confusion as to what I was warning the op about.

get it flashed back to std and find an "actual tuner" one with a dyno and experience of remapping themselves, not just installing someone elses' generic map.

Guess it was cheap which was the appeal?

Some of these "mapper's" are doing finance on generic maps. £150/£320 I've seen about Cambridgeshire.

Regarding the springs. Yes there are different colours wich have a different ratings for different boost levels.
Depends on the map.
There are some good names mapping these engines.
Worth doing a bit of research before choosing.
Quite a few with race pedigree.
Take a look at Revo, AMD, Badger5, R Tech, PTorque and a few more others may want to add.
Prices are pretty competitive.
Have a butchers.
