Option 1 - Get totally ripped off at the 3 nearest dealers to me:
Bury
Chadderton
Stockport

Option 2 - Save a fortune by ordering the car through dealnegotiator.com.

Fly to Gatwick on a one way ticket from Manchester and enjoy the rest of the day driving the smartest looking hot derv hatch beast back from Seat Gatwick with close to two grand saving in my arse pocket! Not bad for a click or two on the mouse, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal as I've tried them all, Broadspeed, Car Select etc etc.

Reference Sport is OK, but lacks a lot of the gadgets that is on the Stylance and FR. I was swithering between the Stylance with the sports pack and the FR, but went for the FR in the end.

Just emailed 'deal negotiator' with details of car I want - FR with bluetooth and 18" alloys!!
Pretty much having same thoughts as you CupraDaft... can get the Stylance with sports pack, bluetooth, ipod con, met. paint for £15,600. So probs about £1k cheaper than FR... paying for the BHP then I guess?!

I really didn't know which way to go as there were pros and cons for both. In the end I decided I would get a better re-sale value on the FR plus I would always probably regret not getting the FR. Have I made the right choice? Who knows!! I'm sure I'll have fun though when I get the new car on Thursday!!

Assuming cost isn't an issue then I would say it's down to whether you want a softer ride, as in the Stylance as standard. To be honest if you are going to put the sports pack on a new Stylance then you might as well go for the FR.

There are plenty of deals about, it looks way better IMHO and you get 30 bhp more. Plus I agree about re-sale values.

Just one thing, can you not find what you want used? It's far cheaper motoring in the long run as you aren't losing all that VAT plus the first crippling year of depreciation. Just my two penneth...

Do look on the net though, when I was choosing I found tons of great deals on new and pre-reg Seats.

Good hunting!

Know what you mean about the 2nd hand option but as you say there are so many good deals around that it seems better to pay a few hundred quid more for something brand new. Cheers for the advice everyone. Gonna test drive the FR with 18" tomorrow to see what the rides like - I do alot of driving t London so maybe the stylance is the better option - just not keen on the look of the 16" wheels - are the 17" ones 'giving' enough compared to the 18" anyone know?

Stylance, best looking of the lot, I prefer the sweeping/smooth front bumper.

No idea - got a quote of £16,200 from discount car deals but was gonna take alot longer to get the car. Think it depends on the deals these companies get from Seat at the time.
Looking at insurance now but can't get t less than £700 yet... annoying since I'm 27!!
