Had my Altea 140 done at RS about 6 months ago. Like they say, its a custom map to your car. The final map was a little lower power than the max figure gained, but it was toned down a little as it got too smokey.
RS do a switching box too for a reasonable price so you can revert to standard map in a couple of minutes. And you can keep the box for any new map on your next car!

thanks for all the advice. Im still undecided as to who i want to do the work (either CC or rs tuning) as both are localish and both have good reports. Il keep reading and asking my noobish questions and decide from that. Could hammer my overdraft some more and get it done now but im pretty skint from buying the car as it is

thanks again

sounds good, any idea of the power it will be making now?

mat

not exactly sure, however Jabba state 180-185 bhp - 290-295 lbs ft. may get a dyno run just before the do the exhaust and then after... but to be honest im not too bothered(at the mo). i can feel the power there and it makes me happy! :D

Dog bone mount upgrade will help. Just be ready for massive vibes for the first week or so until it settles down properly months later. Initially you'll think WTF have I done. It does get there in the end though and helps wheel hop immensely. Very cheap mod too.

will look into this, thanks!

Well i think im going to go for the rs tuning remap. Ive been doing a bit of reading and spoken to a few people and it seems like the way to go. Just got to get the money together now, but at £350+ vat for a custom map and rr time it seems like a good price

for who ever it was that asked heres my old 200 sx and my current mx5 turbo aswell

Not sure exactly what the 5 weighs but up to 60mph ish id say it was as quick as my 200sx which was nearly 300bhp!

The 5 has got black and red enkei wheels on it now but its been laid up since end september cus i had a operation on my shoulder and then the tax ran out so im keeping it off the road till all the grit and shite has gone off the roads. When it emerges from the garage it should (fingers crossed) be 200bhp or there abouts

was under 6 seconds to 60 in the 200sx, never timed the 5 but it feels as fast perhaps because everything rattles lol

Yeah im doing it all myself though, petrols dont bother me its diesels that get me all confused.

Ive got a greddy emanage blue piggy back ecu and o2 clamp that im currently fitting along with some supra injectors and fuel pressure regulator. Once its all set it up should see 200bhp or near enough
