been searching through threads and looking on the various sites of remappers, before i got my car i was actually looking at jabbasport seeing what their figures were as my step dad has a 130BHP VW Bora and wanted to get it remapped, he still has not.
Anyway ive been reading threads and such as i said and im still undecided as to which place i should use, down to personal preference i know but seen as many ppl have had theirs remapped then im just trying to gauge a general view.
Ive got a FR TDI 130, Jabba site quotes 175 - 180BHP and 290 - 305 torque for the Stage 1 load and go generic
they also quote 181 - 194BHP and 310 - 329 torque for stage 2 custom rolling road remap.
Out of the two which would i be looking at? also with that amount of torque going off a few threads i have read, some ppl have raised issues about a clutch change due to this? ideally i wouldnt want to change it but if i have to then thats a different story. Also would the brakes need upgrading?
On a final note, is there any drawbacks to getting a remap done? anyone experienced any problems due to a remap? any more info ppl want to point out then feel free
