hey guys, does/can re mapping put your engine at risk? does/can it shorten the life span of your engine? have seach for my answer through this forum but can't find it, can any1 answer it for me!! cheers

depends how you drive it.
but ultimatley the answer is yes there will be moe strain put on your engines components , but if for instance you have a 105 bhp diesel and you map it to 140 bhp but the cars use the same engines then nothing has really changed.

hope that answers your question.

Partwise wrong, it would only do NONE effect if you NEVER use the extra power....

Correct

Very wrong, there are several engine components changed between 105 and 140hp TDI, the 140hp TDI is even available as a 8V and 16V version.....(With, and without DPF)

hope that answers your question.

Well....
