Does anyone know the part # for the MK3 433.92 MHz standard remote fob?

SEAT have provided me with a 433MHz variant which appears to be for the MK2: http://seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=167555&highlight=6K0+959+753

This one is part number 6K0 959 753B, 433Mhz

Thanks in advance

(Oh, and I can't get an Alhambra flip key variant as I've lost my main key and SEAT will only replace keys against the chassis code...)

That's the one I need Mike, AFAIK they only work with 433.92

If anyone has the part number so I can tell SEAT how to do their job properly it'd be appreciated

remote fob 6K0 959 753B

same part number for :

01-02 Alhambra
03-05 Alhambra
96-00 Alhambra
97-99 Cordoba/Vario
99-02 Cordoba/Vario
97-99 Ibiza
99-02 Ibiza
96-03 Inca
97-99 Toledo

Early keys seemed to have just the general frequency range stamped on em whereas the newer vehicles had a more precise frequency code hence them being different and working the same.

has something to do with public broadcasting right's (radio signal's) and stuff like that from memory

the remote section should work fine - same part as listed above

it's only euro nosing that means we have to have the specific freq listed now that's all

OK thanks for clearing that up. Interesting as the SEAT techie said he wasn't able to program the remote fob. I'll try myself later, though he reeled off the correct procedure for doing it.

I'm wondering if it's in any way related to me running a race battery, when left for a few days I get a low voltage code in VAG COM. Just a thought, if it wasn't charged enough then maybe it'd struggle programming the key?

anything electrical to do you need a decent base voltage for starters and low voltage code errors in VAG COM isn't a good sign

fit a normal one in for test to be sure - wouldn't hurt even if it's only temporarily in fact why run a race battery on a road car ?

Bit of an impulse buy when my original battery was goosed and I was trying to shed a bit of weight, though it is used only as a weekend/track toy.

I normally leave it connected to a pulse charger when it's garaged but my new place doesn't have any electric in there :(

But yeah I think this might have more to do with it, I'll leave it on charge for a few hours and then try, thanks.

Well turns out that was the issue after all :) After a few minutes left on charge the key was able to be programmed and now works fine

coolio

btw if it's stored for a while it may be worth looking at disconnecting it from the car itself whilst charging

Thanks for your help Flapper :)

It's generally driven most weekends so it *ought* to be OK. It never used to be an issue when I could leave it on a pulse charger whenever it wasn't driven but my new garage doesn't have any direct electric which makes things more tricky. On occasions the car will lose it's memory, i.e. one touch windows etc but c'est la vie I guess
