Removing anti-theft aerial on my LCR

Hi everyone,

Have just picked up a stubby civic T R aerial to replace the rather long one,
but cant get the sod off, does anyone know how?

Have tried giving it a sharp tug but it just doesnt come!

one hand on base
one on aerial
and REALLY give one hard pull, you may even go flying yourself its that stiff

make sure the aerial is unscrewed all the way so its at the anti-theft part

Well I can tell you James tried it on andycupra's car on thursday night and he could not get it out despite 10mins of "yanking"

lol sounds a bit dodgy that!

lol i can assure you, it aint always that easy...

you have to pull hard, and it would be advisable to get someone to help hold the base in place. dont want to bend the roof do we.

Ease it out with a claw hammer, (wrap a cloth round the base so you don't damage it with the claw).

Have finally done it!! I covered the whole of my roof in towels and then eased it with a claw hammer.

ive just been to swap my arial wioth my dads off his leon and that was very tight to say the least thing they get easier after they have been removed a few times just my ibiza was never that hard lol
