Removing bonnet seal?

jesus the bitchiness on this forum can be unreal at times....no need...Loving the bonnet bra mitch, nice touch...ive been looking for one myself. I wouldnt remove the seal personally, the car has quite alot of whoosy sounds as it is because of the cold air intake, im trying to hunt one down as i miss the sound so much!

If you are after louder pisshes etc.. then a turbo smart DV is the way forward

still think best suggestion by far is relocate DV in the dash!

or make a CD full of DV noises

Seriously though, these engines are designed for recirc. you will NEVER get a woosh like a Scooby or Cossy. But the nearest you will get is TurboSmart or Split-R

As for removing the seal, don't! It prevent water getting in. And along with DV noice, you will get other noice, such as the engine itself

first thought this was talking about the big cover on bottom side of bonnet. then realized it was the strip up front.
I agree with grandpa randomly set that you're best leaving it on.

I'm Lost here, but every one says whooshy whooshy sound now i had a baily dv on my wrx and i'd say its almost the same as my 007 almost. i know there is turbo chatter is there a different sound i'm missing???

thanks for the informative answers....i might raise the bonnet a little to aid cooling as it gets seriously seriously hot. Like the guy whos from the scooby background i just enjoy hearing it, the same as the whine from my old charger. I realize its a recirc dump valve and will never sound the same.....i dont need telling this i am quite a competant mechanic! I might look into the turbosmart dual port! As for the idiots at the start of this topic, classic keyboard warriors - every forum has them. Thanks james, i maybe loved the G a bit more than the ibiza....but it was a bit too insane and id done what i wanted to it so i sold up.....cupra should be changing a bit next month. when you getting rid of that signature aswell ?

if it's a cooling issue why don't you remove the bonnet insulation? I've removed mine with no ill effects.
