I've done a search but not had much luck on this. My rear brakes are shot so i need to replace the discs. Any specific tools i'll be needing to get the job done? Might there be an idiots guide on here? I've not had the car long and haven't even had a wheel off to have a look yet
My actual question is: Need to change rear discs, easy job?

Pliers would do but best to have the right tooling there, especially the first time you do it.

You'll need a Torx bit for the disc retaining screw or perhaps a big assed philips screw driver, depends on which bolt type you have.

You'll either need to remove the pads, in that case you'll need new bolts or you'll need a 7mm Allen key, to remove the caliper carrier.
This will allow you to drop out the discs as its retained by the pads/caliper

And there was me thinking getting a new(ish) car would be a good idea. They make things difficult on purpose don't they!

wheels off... the discs on the cupra will come off without removing calipers, but if your doing pads they will need to come off.

remove caliper to carrier bolts..allen heads, prize caliper off, it will need persuading, remove disc retaining screw, careful as it may strip the head. disc off, clean the hub.

bit of copper grease on the hub.

now for the difficult bit, put the caliper rewind tool into the lugs on the piston, remember to release the handbrake first, wind the piston back until fully retracted, afaicr, the pistons rewind anti clockwise one side and clockwise the other.

make sure the fluid reservoir cap is off to release pressure.

wind back then refit as reverse of removal.

copper grease the backs of the new pads aswell.

im hoping to give this a go next weekend ive found a step by step picture guide on here for a ibiza and its qouted as being the same setup as a leon cupra. still trying to find more guides tho.
as for a wind back tool if you go on euro car parts web site they have them for just under 12 quid with free delivery wich is the cheapest one i could find as i couldnt justify spending 30 quid on something im more than likely going to use once. and heres the link for the guide i came across,

Can anyone tell me if gonna need any new bolts when changing the rears or is it just a case of refitting what I've taken off? I don't want to get started and then realize that bolts need renewing. If someone can do me a checklist it would be much appreciated.

I'm assuming from other post the bolts that need replacing are the Alan key type ones? Any idea on how much these are?
