Anything I should be weary of when removing them, Im a bit new to it doesnt seem to difficult, just the usual dont put tension on the brake lines etc. Im removing them to paint them by the way
will be two 17mm bolts holding the caliper to the steering knuckle why dont you get them powder coated doesnt cost much and they will come out smooth even and bright and will probably last a lot longer??
nah am not too botherd about this being all singing all dancing mate, just getting wheels fitted to the alloys and before a put them on the calipers look ugly so gona give em a quick lick of some paint, also got some seat heat resistant decal things 2 put on. Do agree rash though they would look cool If I did that
cost you about £30 all in (i used to do powder coating!) and takes about 2hours you dont need to take the calipers off to paint them just jack the car up and put on axle stands take both wheels off and paint while they are still attached
yeah you don't need to remove them, though if you did, gaz did a guide for the 312 upgrade, though this would give you enough info to take yours off. Its in the knowledge base on the main cupranet site.
what colour are you painting them? the drums look alot better with a coat of black on aswell.
i did mine yellow yesterday i took the wheels off to do them but left the calipers on.didnt go all the way in though i just did halfway cause thats all you can see anyway.
