Hi all, i was out earlier trying to remove the door lock barrel, i loosened the screw in the side of the door but the barrel wouldn't budge. I loosened the screw more than recommended in the delocking and vwvortex guides but the barrel is still solid not even slightly loosening. I searched to see if anybody had a similar problem but every one's seemed to come out without a problem. I've just read over the delocking guide and it says to pull on the handle while loosening the screw, does it make a difference if you pull on the handle or not. If anyone could shed a little light on the subject it would be greatly appreciated.

Right new problem has cropped up, was taken the Mrs to work this morning and all was fine. Then stopped at the shop and locked the car, came out and unlocked the car and my door handle wont open the door(drivers), i had to lower the window with the key and open the door using interior handle. Once opened after being locked the door will open and close as normal, it only seems to be after its unlocked it does this. I was originally doing the door seal but when i couldn't get the barrel out i popped the plastic rivets out and took the carrier panel off that way but when i was manoeuvring the panel to remove it from the door the black plastic bit on the door lock module snapped so i just took it off. I didn't think this was a big deal as it doesn't seem to have a function other than securing the module to carrier panel. Any help or ideas would be great and thanks in advance.
