If I'v got the right part:
removal:
Turn holder anti-clockwise -arrow- and pull out of housing.
– Rotate bulb and remove from holder
install:
Assembly work is carried out in the reverse order

This is all you get from the w/shop manual - sorry

I changed mine for silver vision ones and they are a git to get in right if they don't sit in just the right position they don't work, just persevere.

hi had same prob on mine called out seat aa breakdown he took bulbs out and cleaned off bulb holders he said it was transit wax on new car had got on them apparently was a bitch of a job to remove holders large adjustable wrench not nice cheers chris

It's funny, I remember thinking how easy it was when I changed the indicator bulbs with Osram Diadem's; took about 1 minute per side.

yeah, i dont think theres a particular way you have to turn, just keep turning and eventually you will feel it as it comes loose!

when putting them back on i turned them with very small increments until i felt it click into place.... hope that helps

yep theres an easy way i called out the AA under seat roadside assistance and got them to do it not an easy job chris

Just made a bulb remover tool and it took me all of a minute to remove and replace bulb! (in the dark)

As you can see its a bit of wood 5" long 1.5" wide and half inch thick with a slot sawn
one end to fit over bulb holder, Indicator bulb replacement made easy!!!

Spent about 5 hours today trying to do this. The tool for twisting made of wood is a genius idea, do it! I still could not get the thing out because of the air filter housing obstructing access. I could not work out how to remove the housing, so I decided the bumper would need to come off so I could get the headlamp unit out. I took out all the screws but could not shift the thing out of its clips. It even took me ages to get in back in when I gave up on this idea. Back to the air filter housing: one screw and a bit of brute force got me the access I needed. Maybe another hour getting the right rotation position and a tool in place to pull and it came out! The bulb then tested fine and worked perfectly when reinstalled. Not sure who won here. I suspect it wasn't me.
