removing lcr aerial

how do you remove aerial,i know its probaly been asked several times can somebody tell me how its done or give me link to a old thread.tried to find a old thread must be looking in wrong places apologies for my lack of forum skills.

1) Unscrew it
2) Pull it. Harder than you think is safe. It comes off eventually. Might want to hold the base of the aerial with your other hand to minimise the alarming movement of the roof...

thanks mark,was told earlier today that it was the wire from aerial that stops it coming of when its unscrewed and that i would have to pull it hard to snap it,is this true .

It's not the wire that stops it coming off, it's the anti-theft design of the aerial. Giving it a twist from side to side as you pull will help persuade it.

there is what looks a small metal ball at the end of the thread, a quick tug should see it come off in your hand!

Easy Way To Remove Your Anti Theft Aerial

Cut the thin part of the aerial off ( just to get it out the way really )



Tie two cable ties around the base and then a third through those two before you tighten them up,



Then using a short plastic pole ( not metal else you could scratch your roof ) slide it through the third cable tie, hold the base of the aerial then pull upwards sharpley, if the first attempt is unsuccessful try again, with a bit of luck you should end up with something like this.
