removing sound proofing

Hello,

Anyone removed the sound deadening/proofing under the carpets and in boot around the struts? does it make much of a difference to noise inside the car? how you remove it?

Yes, i have. You need to heat it up with a hot air paint stripper and scrape it off. Take off the residue with white spirit or turps.

Yes it does make it noisier. For a daily driver it might get on your nerves. I guess it depends if you still have a stereo to drown it out with.
