removing the rear seats

I have a situation coming up where I'll need just the front seats, and as much space as possible in the back.

Has anyone ever removed the back seats fully? I've never done this in any car, by the way. Any tips / experiences will be useful.

Normally the backrest will have obvious method of removal once folded forward and the cushion should have fixings to the floor at the front and same to the rear. Just bolts usually.
