Remus tdi exhaust for 07 Cupra, can it be done?

Have a quick question. Is it possible to fit a remus twin exit exhaust normally found on reference sport 2.0 tdi and 1.8 tsi leons, on a cupra 240bhp. Im talking about just the backbox. From what i have managed to research, this remus exhaust was actually offered as a dealer option on both the diesel and petrol. I have found a cheap one locally and wondering if it can be fitted without loss of performance to my cupra. Im not looking for gains, just the sound benefit, but i dont want to lose horses either.

Yes it will fit but it wont sound any different to your current set up.

My Fr Pd 170 Btcc has the Remus exhaust fitted that your on about, i didnt know it was a dealer option i thought it was just stantard fitment.

mine does sound different to be honest, its got more of grunt noise to it on tick over than my past diesels and under hard acceleration it sounds good.

Ive had a 3" exhaust with no boxes on at all.. trust me your PD170 is very quiet haha

it appears the exhaust was a 500 euro option for standard diesel fr models and some 1.8 tsi cars. the btcc cars may have had it standard as you say. i have been offered it for 100 euros hence my question as its a good price but if its not going to sound any different on my cupra then theres no point. so far i have bought an s3 rad which isnt fitted yet and fog drls which will be fitted on wednesday so really the car is bog standard and could do for a vocal upgrade!

Ha i bet it was, i have thought about a performance exhaust but i just dont like the sound they give.
