How about this for an idea... Why don't Seat and Renault actually time the full production model of each car and just go from that?!?! Rather than this pathetic attempt at beating each others record by moving the goal posts each time..

The RS275 Trophy R is 36k to buy... but its not the car that ran the ring time

The car that ran the ring time was a RS275 Trophy R + Ring Pack which will cost in excess of 40k to order.

The SEAT performance pack is coming.. but I very much doubt it includes A/C removal.

Was getting very bored of the VAG group how they build "mild" hatches compared to the others you never get Brembo,Proper buckets etc

Decided however to Purchase a MK3 Cupra 280 DSG, APR Stage2 +TCU Upgrade etc will keep me going for a few years

Agreed about build quality,has got a lot better over the years.

Build quality, electrics, reliability... And they're terrible to work on

A friend used to work for Renault and brought home a few flagship models but even the Clio v6 he took me out in looked like a 5 year old had fitted the body kit and it overheated twice! That was a 6 month old car too.

Yeah they wernt the best built those ones.
Same goes for a lot of makes though,ive worked at a VW dealer and you want to see some warranty issues ive done.
Lets just say im an expert at water leaks now lol
