looking at the figures i have,i cant help but think they have given me the std(stage 1)remap.this would be one hell off a bizzare thing to happen if that is the case tho!!!
cant fault the guys at urban racing for their effort and time in getting my car sorted.just that theres no way im happy with the power output.if this is the right map(the stage 2) id love to see what the stage 1 figures are!!??

its not even a 20% increase!im not going to fall out with them over this as i know the guys there and they are good at what they do.mapping is a new service to them too so maybe i shouldve gone the tried and tested route!!!!

im going to see them 2moro!

anyone had anything similar happen???i mean low results??opinions needed b4 2moro!!!!

Chris dont take the figures too literally, anyone will say the dyno lottery will play a part

think of - how did the car drive before and how does it drive now? dont let the RR figures put a damper on everything

does it drive alot better, faster, accelerate harder, put a smile on your face even more now? if it does, then be happy with it mate:)

right im gonna look like a complete mug now.......the main reason im pissed off with the results are because i paid £750!!! for what i was told was far better that any other map.i thought id take the risk.bad idea.
i hope this is a good enough reason why im:censored: im speaking to steve at urban 2moro.like ive already said i dont want to fall out with them over this, but if they have no answer to this im gonna get my £££ back.:help:

ok, just looked at responsechips.co.uk, and their prices range from £399 - £750

did they explain the difference between stg1 & stg2?

Also I would have thought, if they are doing stg1 & stg2 maps then they should be able to give you some sort of bhp results for what you should expect, otherwise you have nothing to compare against as in is there is a "significant" difference to warrant you going back and speaking with them about your disappointing results

But before you get irate with them, deal with them calmly as it could be something as easy as a failure on a sensor, which could be leading to lower than expected figures

is the car running 100%, like no error faults on vag com etc?

Remember it is a common fault on a remapped car for a sensor or a mechanical device to fail etc as the extra power can often tip over the edge a slightly faulty unit that was on its way out already

let us know:)

not got vag com to do it however it did have a faulty lambda sensor changed when the remap was 1st done and didnt really make much difference.awsome said it was healthy too looking at the graph.
the original map they did wasnt right car was bad to drive then after re doing it it seems that they have reduced the boost and doesnt feel as fast as it should.dont get me wrong it feels quick.they also said it had a revo trial on it b4 the remap.i dont think it was a trial tho.i think it was a remap because it feels not much quicker than from day 1ive had it and back then i thought it was faster than it should having driven a friends std lc the day b4!!!

ok, trying to pick out bits from what you have said....

if they have reduced the boost, for what ever reason, then yes your figures could well be right BUT

what is the reason they have mapped your car at a reduced level of boost? heat soak?

still as I asked earlier, what are the differences they advertise as stg1 and stg2 or the differences in maps between the cost of £399 - £750

things do not add up right now, and charging £750 without knowing the different levels in maps, "looks" like they have charged you the full amount, but what exactly for?:blink:

As I said, dont take the 209bhp as gospel, as figures on the day come down to a lot of factors like ambient temp, RR conditions etc etc. It could well be right

Also on your graph, where is the peak power holding till? i.e. 209bhp @ 5000rpm?

dont know what the major difference is between the st1 and 2 but was advised that the st2 works alot better with mods which i have now they told me they would expect 230 maybe 240.st1 for any petrol turbo is £600.
i trusted them when they said the price reflects the performance!
max bhp 209@5150rpm and 240lb/ft@3050rpm.
run1 204bhp 235lb/ft
run2 209bhp 237lb/ft
run3 201bhp 240lb/ft
torque kept going up!!!!
run conditions 86f 28%humidity so it was warmish.

still think they are low figures.in this case aint much bang for the ££££

running only just over 1bar boost thought this should be a litle more???

I think one of the LC guys would be better to quote you their figures as a comparison for a remap, as not sure what they get with similar mods (unfortunately mine is not remapped yet)

However I would have thought you would have got a little more, if we are taking those RR figures as gospel of course

it seems to me they have mapped your car conservatively, as the peak power should be higher, and so should the torque.

If they had mapped your car conservatively, so to reduce heat soak issues, then the peak power would be higher, perhaps nearer the 6k mark

are you able to get a picture of the RR graph on here at all?

LC guys, can anyone offer any further advice?
