how much did it cost you btw are you running any extra equipment to change from standard map to revo map

the predicted gains on the leaflet i picked up are supposed to be allot higher?

Revo Stage 1 - £399

I haven't got a Revo Technik Select switch yet, but contemplating it.

you cant simply run maimum boost and put the timing up also.

You can run lower boost and more aggressive timing, but on max boost you cant really run aggressive timing, well you shouldnt.

IMO you should run like boost 6 and timing 5 (assuming decent fuel).

If you push either boost or timing more than that id want to see the other reduced on an otherwise standard car.

I'm unsure on the timing, but I'm quite sure that the timing wasn't set to max too...I was very wherry that I didn't want to get the remap and chuck everything on max, although it was a spur in the moment thing (cstch up in the rolling road road) was actually planning on getting it next month after some other mods (correct spring etc)

I will head back to the garage and get everything checked, timing and boost values.

i see, more of a progressive feeling....
will try some settings.

maybe boost 4 timing 8?

what boost and timing settings gave u the best output/feel?

i know every car is different, but would like some input as ive been testing my car for about a month now..........seeing which settings is best

at the moment, boost 8 and timing 4 has been the best.

not knowing your spec i cant say if those setttings are ok, timing 8 is quite aggressive, you really need to do some logs on vag com to find out what you can get away with on your car.
Id say go timing 7 at most unless well modded.

no fmic on there and boost of 9, flat out
why did they set it so high?
are they trying to make it suffer heatsoak?

What would you recommend, I know each car is different, but would like to get the optimum out of my remap as it wasn't the cheapest. Sorry for my naivety

Transmission loss is a tad high???????

The transmission loss seems to be quite high on a lot of the cars that were there. Am I right in thinking it should be around 30%?

Revo Settings are now set to -
- Boost = 7
- Timing = 6

All looks good with vag-com too.

After speaking with Revo, the guy said he experienced this last week remapping his friends LCR after putting it in the rolling road. He then fitted a FMIC and said the the intake temp didn't reach any higher than 35° and in turn the results were perfect and as expected. But on the road the car should be cool enough and the results should be as expected / quoted from Revo.

I can feel a big change after the remap, so I'm happy. Still be interested in doing a couple more rolling road sessions, to see the effects of the dyno lottery.

I'll be interested also to see what settings other Revo Stage 1 owners are using. But I think I'll start a new thread on this.

fmic inlet temp of 35 deg is still high, id say their cooling fans aint the best..... i saw max of 45 deg on oem smic on power runs on the road. upto 24 deg on fmic on 4 power runs

as said then high inlet temps no fmic is asking for heatsoak issues with running that boost level also.

id be looking into altering boost and timing as stated and log some power runs on the road with vagcom and look at inlet temps, boost and timing pull and adjust accordingly.

with those boost levels and inlet temps id bet on you having high timing pull anyway, which would be losing you the power youve stated....
