RHD 4 x 4 - Anyone else own one?

it would be an intresting project and i`d love to see someone do it with a Seat... but
im wondering about the finished car, with the extra weight and 4wd losses. how much slower will it be/feel? you could increase the turbo to compensate but your also increasing lag.
that said it should be a demon on a wet bend , and 0-60 would be alot easier

Hell if we are going to all this trouble just do an MTM type conversion and slap an engine behind the rear seats as well
My local Revo dealer did the conversion on a pre 4-motion Mk4 Golf TDi which he was still running last time I saw him. His comment when asked about doing it on something else is "waste of time, buy a car that's already got 4wd.
Theres always talk about this but no-one ever does anything. If I wanted 4wd in a leon that much, I'd put up with LHD. I've driven several lhd cars in the uk and it's no big problem, especially when you've got power and grip.

i actually prefer LHD so i'd rather go for a standard one but then a cossie powered 4x4 puma or mk1 escort does have a nice feel to it too
whenever i have transplanted anything like that in the past it's been way far off anything that could be considered 'daily driver' but gotta admit it was a hell of a lot easier in the past though - good old RWD

and the viva engine and susp ended up in a RWD mini using a triumph vitesse rear end which was and interesting drive
as you can tell weekends in my youth were spent on a 4 car driveway with 10/12 mates all cutting/grinding/drinking and putting silly ideas into practice managed to get all 12 of us in the viva pickup and still managed donuts

i have also 2 cars
seat leon 1.8 turbo manual 6 speed and its 4motion
it has rear diffrential. and it amazing car plus i have seat cupra 2008
