Rocker Cover

Guys,

Was thinking of colour coding my rocker cover......same as car colour...

I know its only a 1.0 i drive but it would look better that the oil covered dirty alu one...

I know that the AER has a alu head, is the rocker the same?

Would that pose any problems?

Would it just be a case of lots of sanding, heat metal primer and hammerite version of the cars colour then lots of lacquer?

your thoughts and words of wisdom are much appreciated!!

PS seen a couple of polo 1.4 and 1.0's in the scrappy, would their rockers fit??? IE i could keep mine a spare or if worst came to??

I painted my escort rocker in normal paint with no problems.

Think i mite have a crack at polishing mine

Going to have a good clean of the engine bay next week end and thought it would tidy things up a bit....

with all the salt on the roads the bay has gotten a bit dusty.

means when i have to fix it next i don't get covered in as much sh1te!!

any ideas on the polo rockers, if they would fit?

They look very similar....
