I have sent a mailing to cupraofficial......i highlighted the 50kg vs 75kg and asked them to confirm.
Next to that I also asked if it matters which version cupra formentor you drive.....(i would not expect so, but still want to have that also black on white)
When they give me a reply I will share it with you guys.
Good work Renzo

According to cupraofficial NL it is indeed 75kg.
Cheers Renzo - much appreciated.

That means that my roof box load capacity has now doubled (from 25kg to 50kg). Still don’t think I’m going to tell my girls that they can now pack more stuff 😉

Well all, this must be bargain of the century, had the Thule ones on backup pending these being tested. I genuinely can't believe how good they are for the price. Seriously, save your money, sack Thule off and get a pair of these, I fitted them in under 10 minutes and they look class!

@Shackattack , do you have the 120cm or 135cm bars? Still happy with them? Cheers.

To reignite this thread, I wanted to update everyone with my latest edition.

I just added a set of Thule raised feet plus 118cm Wingbar Evo's to my VZ3 < not what I was expecting to do a year ago when I bought it.

After researching many roof boxes, Thule kept coming to the top of my list. Several appear on eBay, and are a bargain if they are close enough to collect. Nothing near me unfortunately, so I went for a Halfords Advanced box. These are made by Thule but branded Halfords. They just don't have some of the newer features (fancy locking mechanism).

Halfords have just reduced this 470L box down to £371. This is £200 cheaper, and bigger, than the medium sized Thule Motion or Force < both of which were on my wish list.

I'm torn between the look of the 118cm bars, when compared to the Edge (no overhang, but much more expensive).

The specs are as follows.
Roof box dimensions: 176.2cm x 82.5cm x 44.6cm
Thule foot 710410 (allows for the sunroof to open)
Thule Wingbar Evo 118cm long

Good luck to anyone searching for a box.

Hi mate,

I'm currently looking at these. Do they whistle much as you go?

Cheers.

OK so I ended up getting CRUZ Airo Dark R118 . Paid 155 EURO. And guess what, they don't whistle at all! There is a trick though. You need to seal off all the gutters in the bars including the ones at the bottom. CRUZ bars come with the rubber strips to cover the gutters. See the photos.

Bonus point: CRUZ is also a Spanish company ;)
