Rosie gets an overhaul!!

Hello fellow arousers,

My beloved rosie 1.0 MPI 98 (that I will post some pics of eventually) is getting what I believe is her first full service ever after 60k I have only owned her a couple of weeks and she was in a awful state. I have allready done the front pads and disks. how often are people changing the rear drum shoes?
So

New Plugs
Leads
Belt, Tensioner, Pump
All Filters
Oil
Gear linkage as shes popping out of 5th every now and then
missing anything?
Dropping her 40mm all around
slapping some 14" bottlecaps on her which i got for £50 with new tyres, bonus

if i get the time

New hd bulbs smoked side lights
Tint the rear lights
cover the door cards and roof lining
Sort the rust on the rear arches, bubbles AND the window column nsf grrrrr

now on the service front is there anything I should be wary of? any unusual tools needed?
how much oil have people found they take? Also what do you recomend for flushing the engine? and if any what additives have people used oil/rad etc etc

all help is appreciated this is my first car and has got to put up with me driving it like a loon and last the next 2years while i finish my blacksmithing course.

I think I should get Servicing mine, considerin the guy who had it last was a muppet. Just scared incase I **** it or something lol

Ha I know the feeling but hey if you do im sure like me youve got a mate you can call in an emergency??!

Plus its all a learning curve, I'd never worked on a car till 2weeks ago and so far ive replaced brake cables brakes calipers and a dodgy alternator.

Mostly with percussive maintenance

I should do! Just ordered new headlight bulbs and led sidelight bulbs.. Im sure that'll be an easy thing to start with........... I hope..

takes 2.7 litres of oil and everything on a car is logical take everything step by step its just bolts at the end of the day

im a qualified mechanic and doing a motorsport degree at uni but you dont need qualifications to do anything just take it slow and steady how i started but i jumped right in and changed engine at 16 lol went well but took like 4 days lol
