Rumbling Noise

Hi,

FIrstly I'd like to say a big thankyou for the great help you gys have been.

I recently just got a new exhaust fitted into my car. This solved the engine light that i'd had. However I still get a kind of rumbling noice when I accelarate.

So I thought I'd get it checked, and I got told that it was something to do with the "cat", that it had been completely eroded or something (sorry i'm not really that good with car parts), and a new one would set me back quite a bit. I was wondering if anyone has any idea on what it could be ?

Guess it's possible for your CAT to have gone. Could be worth checking out on VAG-COM, do some tests on there. Where are you located ?
