No don't think i could live with the speed of the cab a 2.0 8V would be like going backwards!!

Think i may go for a mk3 VR6 with the look to getting a supercharger in the long run!

All depends what happens with mine. Still not sure its the right move to be honest!!

I have never felt like this when it comes to selling a car i really would love to keep it and get another car to play with but can't afford to!!

If i get no interest then i will keep it! It will only go if i get the right money for it!

Its a big decision!! Your car is amazing!!

I did the opposite, i came from a mk3 vr6 (not supercharged) to the ibiza i do really miss the noise you get from it!The main reason I changed was because the golf was a daily driver and wasn't really modern so reliability was starting to be an issue, parts were expensive and many were dealer only parts which were discontinued.

I did consider recently going back though

The thing is my bezza isn't a daily anymore and a VR6 wouldn't be either, i need to take one for a test drive to help me make a descision, I don't want anything that is going to be a lot slower than a remaped bezza, which limits what to go for and what i want to spend!

Drop a VR6 engine into the Cabby, thats what we did with my mates 2.0 8V all you need to do is change the full engine bed with engine attached and engine wiring loom took a day or two to do!!

Then you can VR6T it haha :D

I found my vr6 which had a cat back exhaust and filter was very similar speed wise to my ibiza standard, so once mapped it would be well ahead! I think the reason I considered going back is because i'm a golf man at heart and do miss them:help:

My little mk1 keeps me sane though:D

If your vr6 was maintained and cared for to the same standard as ur ibiza it would be a definite show winner!!

personally seems a silly move,

would keep it, will not lose a great deal on price over the next year or so. But VR6, yeah they're ok but hardly an amazing car.

If you want a V6 best of going for a Golf 4-motion or even a bora 4-motion as both can be had from 5k upwards and the 4wd makes it much more useable car. oh and they sound a bit better than the VR6, less induction noise and more v6 warble.

If i could keep the beeza and get another car i would but i already have to run the beeza, work van and my girlfriend has a smart car so parking would become an issue and i can't afford to run 3 cars and play with them!

Would be £600 a year just in road tax! I like the bora's but really not a fan of the mk4 golf a couple of mates have them and they are just dull looking. I know the mk3 golf isn't the best looking but a few subtle touches and they can look good.

i passed a de-cat mk3 VR6 at around 80 in my beeza when it was standard, crept past that is, would fly past now i should imagine. gorgeous sound though from a VR! Thought along the same lines as you have, supercharged VR, knew a lad who had one, sounded out of this world!
