Yesterday I was informed that I was being made redundant. I was not payed for my work in january. And I lost all my overtime as that was not being paid either. I was offered £800 which is almost half of my months pay. (the company i work for have gone into administration)

so if I can't find work the beeeza's gonna have to go

Not Hewlett's engineering is it? My dads been in similar situation as hes a civil engineer as well. Hopefully you'll find something one way or another(even if your not from Hewlett!)

even the armed forces are suffering redundancy which is a joke, many people who are injured on tour and have done 12 years or so, seen and done things they wont forget are being told their services are no longer required.

All these big engineering firms closing, is only saving uk manufacturers money in the short term, after our entire industry's rely on foreign countrys to produce products, prices will then be raised and we will be the ones suffering even more. Theres a powershift in the world going on and we are reacting badly to it. I dont envy the next generation

I feel for you. I'm in IT as well and my job went to India last year. 10 years service and shown the door. Hopefully you'll get something quickly. Don't expect the Jobcentre to come up with anything though!

i got made redundant at christmas so had to sell my cupra. its horrible when thats the only reason you have to get rid. i was gutted. but it will all turn out good in the end pal. one day you will have a better car. just seems like a shitter now no doubt
