hi folks. i am having a problem with my cupra r at the moment. when i put the power down i dont get a smooth pull through all the gears. some people have suggested that the hoses may be collapsing when the engine bay heats up. i am away to buy some samco hoses for my car to see if it will help. any idea where the best place to get them from, which ones i need and an approx price for them

I just got them off of him for £202 delivered with the clamps included aswell!

You dont need the middle set of hoses, but yes the top link and bottom link hoses are reccomended!

The 2 IC hoses and the TIP (Turbo Intake Pipe)

I can pretty much guarantee your problem will not be the hosing! Its more than likely down to MAF contamination for a decrease in performance!

You should look at exchanging the MAF, on ebay they are around 40 odd quid.

No you dont, save the money and buy a MAF replacement as i would say with around 90% confidence your decrease in performance is more than likely down to your MAF sensor!

When i changed mine, it made a hell of a difference.

You get them on an exchange basis with SEAT for around £70 but you can find them on ebay for around £40-50.

They are well known to go wrong on our cars and are the reason for a poorly performing engine. A search of MAF on here will lead to a million odd threads lol

Agreed...my seemed to go sluggish over time...shot maf sensor.

Disconect it, take it for a spin, if it seems lots better..then get a new MAF.

My car came with an iduction system...i wish i could find an air box for sale.
