further to my forge fmic issues....

mork.. cheers mate resecured pipes as you said and now the car feels ace! very smooth and confident. nothing was hanging off but got a couple of turns on the tb clip so it must have been that ( after taking the whole front off!)

i emailed forge last night at 6pm telling of my woes. they responded at 10.20pm! this morning there development manager has mailed me.

there customer care seems endless

thank you forge

seeming as this is the main post about intercoolers at present

has anyone had problems with their intercoolers getting smashed on the road? i.e from being low

i know that Daz_Gibbo has had 2 split intercooler pipes (the metal pipe) since lowering his car and his wasnt even as low as mine the last time we compared. Mine isnt so low anymore but it was never the lowest ibiza around anyway

but today for example trying to get of a petrol forecourt i slammed my lcr splitter good an proper and the poor thing has taken a number of hefty hits over time

so has anyone other than daz had any problems? im currently saving for my forge fmic but would hate to ruin it

mine sits low, but just within the bumper so in theory you will scrape the plastics first, (add to current scratches)

mine is lowered 30mm and my lcr front splitter takes a beating, i aint gna be impressed if i bash my 700quid intercooler on the ground! lol

I'd say that you've spotted your incentive not to drive too hard @ kurbs

i know it's the AM cooler but i'm pretty sure it sits in the same place. Mine is lowered 60-65mm only scuffed the underside when coming out of a multistory car park, don't near car parks anymore.
