Help!!!?
just gotten meself my 2nd Leon Cupra after a year out with a side winding tail slewing 325i...as much fun as that was I just couldnt stay away...
So...., I've gone back to whipped up turbined powered life once again and love it. again!
I've just picked up my 03 LC and everything is great, I'm well chuffed with the (private) deal, and the car albeit with high miles, is immaculate - facelift model, silver, 82K, full leather, FSH...£7200. really really nice car - almost spotless.
The guy I bought it off had done some small bits to it - PI spring kit, Supersprint back box and Revo remap at Torque BHP. Question is, is there anywhere I can take my car to be looked at/serviced/tweaked etc, rather than taking it to a main dealer - does anyone have any ideas? I live near Gatwick Airport.
I'm experiencing some slight clutch slip in 5th & 6th gears, when cruising at shall we say 75 - 80
and put my foot down, the revs rise higher than what they should....turbo boost?? unlikely. Clutch slip? More than likely. It races away up say 1500 revs then come back to drive. Think its on the original clutch, as no record of this in the cars history... does anyone know where I could get a new clutch fitted - preferably 'drive in drive out' service somewhere in Southern Blighty ?? Just dont trust some of the dealers thats all.
Any ideas on clutches for LC's?? Uprated versions probably the way to go ???
