No. It was an ex-demonstrator. It didn't have any of the manuals at first and I had to go back and get them. Its not the same dealer I use now as I've moved but I'll try with that part number.

Thanks

As anyone got a Blackberry 8700g to work in the Leon? I can get the phone to pair with the car, but not read the address book :(

If I try to transfer the address book, I get the message "Unable to locate object push server"

Any idea, before I try to send this back.. and can anyone advise on a Blackberry that they know does work with the Leon Mk2, both pairing and address book..

Not tried the 8700 - but the 7100, 8100, 8130 and the 8310 all needed the following
Go to your bluetooth menu
select options and make sure address book transfer is ticked
then go to the seat_Hu device select it
select trusted "yes"
then turn the car off ... turn it on again, should connect without needed to be allowed and within 30 seconds or so the address book will load and work.

I have tried to transfer the phone book, but get the message above:( It does connect OK, just no phone book

No, you cannot force the transfer, it does it automatically ...

Is your Blackberry a personal one, or a company phone, if company it may well be that the IT admin has locked out address transfers over bluetooth..

No mate personal... I have just been to the car again, it connects to the blue tooth, but if I wait 30 seconds, I still get address book empty.. it is as if it will not read the address book

I may see if I can change this for one that does work, can you recommend a blackberry that does read the address book to show on the MFA

Got the phone to work OK now... only problem, the phone is faulty so it's going back!!

So, can anyone suggest a Blackberry that will work 100% with the Seat Bluetooth, AND read the phone book to the MFA?

So far I have heard the following work, 7100, 8100, 8130, 8310, 8800...

Can anyone confirm which soes work in all areas i.e bluetooth, steering wheel controls and reads the phonebook to the MFA, before I reorder.

Stu

Stuart,
None of the Blackberry phones I listed "fully" work ..... everything works except the missed calls / received calls / dialled calls lists don't get updated.

The first time the phone syncs, it updates these lists, but then after that it never does, the display will always show the first list it sync'd ... years later!

But that's it, you can scroll through the address book (which duplicates entries where you may have 1 contact but 2 numbers i.e. office and mobile) and make receive calls fine, incoming numbers are displayed along with the name if its in your phone.

Cheers,

Samsung SGH-i900 (Omnia) seems to work correctly and downloads (SIM) phonebook to car.

Just about to ask this as i got one the other day. Thanks!
On another note, do you have to have the voice commands preset on the phone first beforeusing them in the car?

Nokia 3110c seems to work ok with the integrated bluetooth.
The phone connects and the car imported my phonebook (although i have some problems with some special characters that display as a space instead (â, ă, ș, ț)).

Ok, thanks. Still not decided what phone to get!

Sony C902 works, uploads phonebook and missed calls. Although you get /0 after every entry.

Reason I ask, took test drive of the k1 I'm buying just Saturday past, and me phone wouldn't connect with the k1, salesman was sure they did...?!

Elaborate please! :(

the first time the phone connects with the car it takes an age to download everything. dunno why, it just does. maybe you didnt give it long enough.

which dealership are you using?

Your maybes right, i left it for like 30 seconds if that, and gave up, normally other devices connect in seconds... should be more patient in future :p

Buying it from Patterson Seat mate on Scottswood road mate, where abouts in toon you live?

definitely takes longer than that first time.
i live near the metrocentre.
i got mine from there, the salesmen there are all good blokes in my experience. who is sorting you out?
servicing is reasonable too.
