53 plate (october 2003) 27,616 miles, Silver with Alloys, FSSH, is looking to fetch around £3500 - £4000 max at auction next week.

Gonna get this for the missus hopefully, but before I do I have a few questions.

1. DVLA Tax site is showing this ca (on its reg) as "Gas Bi-Fuel" did they do a 1.4 that was bi-fuel? if so I take it you can use Petrol or LPG?

2. What are they like, from what I can see it is a Beezer with a boot?

3. What spec does a 2003 1.4S come with as standard?

Cheers :D

They didnt make one from the factory that is bi-fuel but the car could have been conerted to run on LPG and petrol, if so you probably want to check that the system has been installed properly

Cordobas basically are an ibiza with a big rear end, mines the same in everyway to my previous Ibiza apart from i can get 2.5 times more stuff in it. Driving wise i cant tell that i am in a cordoba apart from when i am reverse parking, as rear view is a little more limited due to the high boot line.

As for equipment here is the list

I really like my Cordoba, my model is the 130 SE Tdi, even with the rock hard suspension and low profile tyres I have no rattles at all, the boot is huge, the handling is fine, definitely quieter than the Ibiza in my opinion, I reckon hatchbacks always are a little noisier than saloons. In southern Europe I believe the Cordoba is far more more popular than the Ibiza, on a recent trip to Italy I saw far more Cordobas than Ibizas, in the UK though small saloons don't seem popular, I've no idea why because I think the Cordoba is a good looking car. I would buy another without question. Its a great little car.

Cheers for your replies chaps.

Thanks Brummy but I want nothing older than 2003 and an Ibiza's boot is too small, hence me looking at Cordoba's.

As it happens I am not happy knowing that the LPG is not factory, being an auction I will not have a leg to stand on if it wasn't put in right and I also can't take the risk with the wife and my 14 month old daughter.

Thanks again :)

One thing to possibly consider is that the DVLA could have the car down incorrectly as gas or bio fuel, they have been know to **** up on colour and number of doors so it wouldnt suprise me if they had this wrong too. Have you actually checked the vehicle for signs of an LPG system?

No it is at auction so won't see it in the flesh until Wednesday, didn't think of that, I will give the DVLA a call as the auction site is listing it as Petrol as well.

If it has not been converted to LPG/bio fuel then I will be buying it providing it doesn't make silly money.
