Yeah its the 3.2 M3... I dont like the wheels that he has put on it... so will be changing them back to the originals as soon as I can. He also managed to wipe out the front splitter... but I've ordered a new one, which should be turning up tomorrow

Glad to hear that you are pleased with the Cupra!!! cant wait to see some clean pics of it......

Is it actually an m3?? They normally sit realy low at the front. it hasn't got the evo front lip on it and wot are those wheels doing on it???? I would of stuck with the cupra. Power to Weight can't be much different?????

power to weight will be way different. M3 Evo has 321 bhp, Ibiza 156bhp. That means that the M3 would have to weigh twice the Ibiza.

I think u'd be suprised. They aren't all that. I had a mess around with a new one. it was a convertible and defo the dogs bollox one and it left me 120+ but upto 100 it didn't pull as much as i thought it would.

And mine isn't anything crazy!!!!!!

I can't see the old one being any better!!!!!

Goto agree, in a straight line a M3 aint going anywhere very fast ... unfortunatley when it comes to a corner the ibiza just shits itselfs

Don't doubt that. My bro has a 318is on m3 suspension and he kills me round corners. obviously it's a bit different in a straight line!!!!!!

But it's a completely different car to the cupra!!!

Bit more poser with power and handling where as i'd prefer the lightweight, small, powerful hatch atm. i wouldn't of thought a m3 would be a step up though. Marginally quicker, but tbh the extra money you spend on insurance, petrol and buying it could buy an ihi kit then you'd kill an m3!!!!!!

gotta say not a chance!!!

A k03s'd Ibiza will give an M3 a good test up to 130, above that it would get beat. A remapped Ibiza wouldn't stand a chance up to 100. Above that the M3 would simply disappear.

How do I know? My Dad now has a K03s'd Ibiza with around 250 bhp. It is marginally quicker than my S4 once on the move, obviously from a standing start it wouldn't stand a chance. When it was just a remapped K03 it was a lot slower than it is now. When I've seen M3's being driven properly they are quicker than mine once moving.

All I can say is those who've "kept" with one must have come across one that wasn't being driven properly. After all, how many remapped Ibiza's can manage a sub 12 sec 0-100?

In a 0-x situation the m3 will win. No doubt. Not by a lot tho. 30 - 120 was pretty close. I didn't say i beat him but he was still shocked when he saw me in his mirror doing 110mph.

(obviously on our private test track)

M3 may be quicker with the same driver (ability)

I just can't see it as an upgrade.

A lot of good banter on here about power etc....... it all depends on the car its up against, the driver ability and other factors, but generally I found that the ibiza could keep up with most things... and theres not many cars that will actually pull a noticable difference away from one another....

When I had my standard ibiza, it would often give 225 TT's a run for their money, depending on conditions, and how much the other person was up for a little "play@ hehehe :)

Thats gotta be one of the most rediculous things i've read!!!! I done a lambo last nite but he weren't trying, i still beat him tho????? LOL!!!!!! I will only say i beat or kept with summit i know was trying. You can tell!!!!!! eg puff of smoke out the exhaust in between gear changes means they are on the limiter so they're trying etc....

all i'll say is the m3 won't feel as quick, look as good imo, or suprise as many people as the cupra would. How many times i've bin next to std golf gti's who don't know wot a seat is and shocked them, i love it!!!!!!

To me the M3 feels a lot different to the Ibiza, in power, and its delivery of it as you'd expect, and to me it feels a lot quicker than my standard ibiza cupra did. I didnt fancy modifying my one, but I know that more power is easily achieved, but I just wanted to keep it standard..

Yeah I admit that the Ibiza is a good looking car and that it does shock people when you pull away from the standard issue golf....

fair play. i've never driven a std cupra, i can understand you if you just wanted a std car. would of spent £500 on a remap personally. would of put a much bigger smile on ya face than the beemer.
