Also just wondering what you guys are getting mpg wise in the 1.4 tsi ?
Low 40s around town, high 40s on a long run. Tbh I'm a bit disappointed with the consumption, it also falls off a cliff the moment you start to stretch its legs, probably more than the 150 TDI would. Having said that it's such a peach in every other respect I can put up with dropping a few mpg, especially with fuel prices coming down.

With only 900 miles on the clock ive managed to get almost 53mpg on my return home from work earlier....

According to my dealer the 1.4 tsi 150bhp act is no longer on sale and has been replaced with the 1.4 tsi 125 bhp without the active cylinder shutdown. Would this make the mpg worse ? This is on a se model not fr

Thanks again everyone

Your dealer is a bit behind the times.

Originally both the 1.4 SE and FR used the same 140 PS non ACT engine (at that time the ACT was 140 PS and only available on the Golf).

When the ACT was introduced on the 1.4 Leon it came in 150 PS flavour but only on the FR. At the same time the SE was downrated to 125 PS. As far as I am aware the 150 PS was never available in the SE. From a marketing point of view I suppose it made sense giving the cooking SE a lower power output and put the higher power unit in the sporty FR.

As for mpg, over almost 3 years mine has averaged about 45 mpg. That is calculated. The dash lies and says it doing 51 mpg on average.

I have a 1.4 TSI 125 2015 SE and MPG is great. Quite often on the way to work I get low to mid 50's.

Current lifetime average is 45 MPG according to the trip computer.
