Seat Leon 1.8T Intercooler questions

Hi guys,
So my original intercooler said poks, yesterday.

I am now looking at 3" aftermarket front mounted intercooler, but what worries me is not will it fit or something, but, the sensor(boost sensor?) that is in the oem intercooler, how people bypassed that, or made a socket in the piping so it will fit?

And can you show me, what way did you install your front mounted intercooler, I suppose the easiest way is the same way original is, but to extend the piping so it will go to the center of the car.
