Of course

I would be up for a little group meet for a couple of changes for some beer tokens
I still don't know the correct type of OBD II cable I need for the car.
I am only after a cheapy one for now as well.

As for the tuning results, they sound very impressive and I will be looking into the CRD-T come the summer :)

Does anyone know if there are any long term effects on engine/turbo wear when using these at all?

You are adding near on 30% power and torque so yes I can't see how the turbo, engine, clutch etc would not pack up 30% quicker.

Well there must be a percentage of tolerance from standard that would have minimal impact I guess when upping the power before it has an effect on parts wear.

Do they advise on things like more regular oil changes when running these at all?
I can imagine going through front tyres faster unless you drive like a complete saint :)

I dont know in the long run but I read up that some person that has a 2l seat Leon mk3 got it and has done 30000 miles and still is perfect and no trouble. Maybe when you reach the 100k's bits will start to wear down noticebly but I won't keep car till 100k miles. It's just passed the 7000.

Dean I figured out the problem with the traction control. It's deactivated when I'm on map four but works fine on other maps. I think it's a fault or something with the box ill give Andrew a call later on the week and see what he says.

How do you know if it's a stage two or normal? And it does have traction control but I don't think it'd enabled im going to try out map 2 today and tomorrow :) see how it goes. My mpg was lower before if I drove it in sport mode about 45-50 hammering it down which is short trips but I see that there's no rain today and it's a bit dry so going to give car a wash and then test it again.

Sport mode? On a 1.6tdi?

Yep there's drive and then you put gear down into sport. If you look on the video in the top right hand corner you see the gears. "S" is sport.

Ahh DSG gearbox then? What sort of mpg are you getting now?

With map 1, i'm getting 58-63 mpg but that's 65/35 motorway driving but even in town driving im getting 55+ so not bad at all compares to 45-50 without the box.

With map 4 im getting about 55 depending on how hard my foot slams the pedal but rarely ever go below 50.

The box does help fuel economy by 10-15% if on map 1 and does actually increase speed and torque on every map but map 4 is insanely noticeable.

And yes 7 gear DSG

Your measuring tank to tank right? I noticed next to no improvement when taking it easy at constant speed and a big drop when giving it the beans which is what I expected.

Yes I'm measuring tank to tank. Have only done two fill ups, one on map 1 and one on map 4. I'm trying map 3 on this fill up. It's not a major improvement but it's still a little improvement even though it's by 10-15%. I guess mine is only 1.6 so different consumption results.

I really do like the box, I've taken it off to see how it is and it feels so much slower no throttle response and just can't really live without tbh. I really would recommend makes the car drive better and smoother and just overall a more enjoyable feeling. I have got a bit of a problem, as it's a dsg I am thinking it can't handle the torque of the maps when 4+2 or 4+3 because when I put my foot down it lags really badly like it's pushing the redline other then that it's okay. Just need to send it back to Andrew and get it sorted. I've tried ringing him but no luck will try again soon when I have a bit of time. Fuel consumption is also an improvement by about 50-75 miles per tank so it's a win win overall

Hmm I wonder how it would be with my manual box then. I really want one but don't know if the overall improvements will justify the price, I would like to try before I buy but don't know anyone with a tuning box let alone any 1.6tdi owners down my way.

Ah Milton Keynes about 2 hours away from me. Could always meet up one time and you could try it on for the day :)
