how did eternal rage manage to swap his aftermarket exhaust from his old 1.6 onto his newer 1.820vt then?
bore isnt a problem 2.25 to 2.5" i think isnt a biggy, most exhaust places will use reducers, the floor plan for the 1.6 and 1.8t are both the same, they use the same ways for running the exhaust piping, the only problem i can see is the actual hanging height at the rear under the bumper but again that can be modded for next to nothing when its already being fitted anyway.

I swapped the whole lot, from the Cat back. The cat is the same siza pipe on both so it wasnt a problem. the bumper cut-outs were in the whole place though, so i had to swap the bumpers too, so some poor fella in a 1.6 is driving around with a Volcano Black car with a Black MAgic rear bumper and tailgate
