Good Evening, I thought I would post my problem here to see if anyone has experienced this before, and the best actions to take.
My beloved SEAT has been parked in the drive of my house for almost 2 years as I cannot drive it anymore thanks to ULEZ... I've kept it with the intention of one day driving it again, so its been well looked after and covered.
I would every month drive it around the block to warm up the engine, and get the fluids going, wheels turning etc. Always started first time, everytime perfectly.
About 6 months ago I was away and couldn't drive it for 3 months and of course battery went completely flat. Jump started and it was fine. But I think not driving it for 3 months caused the battery to run so flat and that it damaged the battery cells as I was now always having to jump start to get her moving. In light of this I bought a new battery, exact same model. I replaced and turned the key, and it would tick over but not start. So I tried jump starting it and it worked, but after 10 minutes the engine just stopped. Since that day the car will not start, not even with a jump start. It will only tick over but stops after 10 seconds.
As a test I let the new battery stay connected for 1 month, and when I came back it was still exactly 12.5 volts, so no power draw there. I ran the computer on it, and have among other faults, the fault code P068A00. The instrument panel in the car displays the glow plug flashing and engine management light.
I cant figure out what went wrong?
Did jump starting fry a module, or is the new battery not playing ball, something went wrong or something gave at a certain point but so random I cant figure it out.
My OBD scanner cant register new batteries, and obviously more modern cars such as this will auto register once it does a few miles, but can't do that either.
I have already checked the fuses, and none are blown.
I will attach pictures of the obd scan results, along with other faults that might be relevant. If ive missed info please let me know. I appreciate any response
